Which electric scooter has the largest battery?

The Dualtron Storm Limited has the largest battery we have ever seen. It has a voltage of up to 84V, a current of up to 45Ah, and can hold 3,780Wh of energy. This is equivalent to a maximum range of 136 miles.

As expected, ultra-high-performance scooters (such as the Dualtron Strom Limited) have the largest batteries, because they need extra power to keep the powerful motors spinning.

Which electric scooter has the longest battery life?

Similarly, the electric scooter with the longest battery life is the Dualtron Storm Limited. It not only provides a maximum range of 136 miles, but its battery is made of high-quality 21700 LG cells, which can guarantee up to 500 charging cycles without degradation.

Can electric scooters be used without a battery?

All electric scooters are designed to run on batteries. If they don't have one, they can't store the power needed to power the motor. However, if you wish, you can still use the electric scooter as a standard push scooter.

When to Replace Your Electric Scooter Battery

You should replace your electric scooter battery when you notice a significant decline in its performance. This may include; longer charging time than usual, or faster discharge rate than usual.

This change in battery performance indicates that some internal components have started to degrade and can no longer deliver their peak performance.

Most standard FST batteries can provide 200 to 300 charging cycles at peak performance. After that, you will start to notice changes in battery performance. If you charge your battery twice a week, the battery can last for 2 to 3 years.

High-quality branded batteries (including LG, Samsung and Dynavolt batteries) can provide 300 to 500 charging cycles before performance drops. If you charge your battery twice a week, the battery can last for 3 to 5 years.

How much does an electric scooter battery cost?

Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries cost between $200 and $1,000. Chinese FST batteries are cheaper, while batteries from well-known brands such as LG, Samsung and Lion are more expensive.

  • Budget models - 36V 10Ah battery costs $220 (example: Turboant X7 Max)
  • Commuter models - 48V 13Ah battery costs $200 (example: EMOVE Touring)
  • Performance models - 60V 18.2Ah battery costs $550 (example: Mantis)
  • High-performance models - 60V 35Ah battery costs $780 (example: Wolf)
  • Ultra-performance models - 72V 35Ah battery costs $1,000 (example: Wolf King GT)

Can I upgrade the battery?

Most electric scooter batteries cannot be upgraded. The battery is perfectly matched to the size, style and components of the scooter and cannot be replaced with a different voltage or ampere-hour battery.

However, some scooter companies do offer ways to get more mileage out of your scooter. For example, Fluid Free Ride's Horizon has two versions: Horizon 10.4 and Horizon 13. They are the same scooter except for the battery. One has a 374.4Wh battery, with a range of 23 miles, and the other has a 468Wh battery, with a range of 30 miles.

Other scooters, such as the Turboant X7 Pro (with a removable battery on the handlebar), used to offer FST and branded batteries for you to choose from.

In addition, Dualtron also offers external battery packs that can be attached to the front of the platform for some of its models (such as the Thunder 2). These bulky add-ons don't look attractive, but they can increase your scooter's range by up to 33 miles.
